Four killed, 24 hurt in separate mishaps

Tanahun, August 26:

Three persons were killed and 24 hurt when a bus heading to Kathmandu from Dang met with an accident at Malebagar of Khairenitar-7 in Tanahun today.

Two passengers died on the spot while one succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment in Gandaki Zonal Hospital, Pokhara, police said.

One of the deceased has been identified as Gopi Devi Oli (75) of Chhayakshetra-8, Salyan, while the other two are yet to be identified, police inspector Narahari Regmi said.

Four passengers, who were critically injured, are getting treatment at the zonal hospital while

the remaining are being treated at Setiganga Community Hospital in Dulegauda, police said, adding 28 passengers were aboard the ill-fated bus.

Meanwhile, a youth was killed in another road accident in Itahari today. Biki Chamling of Itahari-5 died while undergoing treatment in a hospital in Dharan. He was rushed to hospital after a tractor hit him in Itahari bazaar today, police said.
