DAMAK: Nepal Medicine Entrepreneurs’ Association, Mechi, claimed that the death of Jhapa Lakhanpur’s Tika Bara was not caused by the negligence of physicians of The Medico Clinic. NMEA general secretary Surya Prasad Koirala said on Tuesday that Baral did not die due to carelessness of the doctors or consumption of date expired medicines. His family had accused the doctors of giving date expired medicines to Baral and causing his death. Even as NMEA refuted the charges, the case was settled after the victim’s family was given Rs 90,000 compensation.
