Charikot, September 9:

Nepali Congress vice president and Constituent Assembly member Gopal Man Shrestha today claimed that the present government would topple because of the internal conflict among the ruling partners.

He made this remark at a programme organised in Charikot to mark the 95th birth anniversary of the late BP Koirala.

“As the coalition partners have different ideologies, the government will fall due to disagreement among themselves,” said Shrestha.

Saying that CPN-Maoist had been ignoring the NC’s role in the peace process and establishment of republic, he blasted the Maoists for levelling the NC as its prime enemy.

NC central member and Constituent Assembly member Jip Chhiring Lama announced that he would spend salary and facilities, which he gets as Constituent Assembly member, on social services in the district.

He also handed over Rs 25,000 to Laduk-based Shanti Adarsha Higher Secondary School.
