Kathmandu, October 28:

The cabinet approved a host of appointments today. Narayan Sharma has been appointed the chairman of Press Council of Nepal; Komal Baral as the chairman of Rastriya Samachar Samiti and Nunendra Dulal as advisor to the Minister of Information and Communications. BK Man Singh will be the new chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation.

The cabinet also approved the following appointments today.

Bhakta Bahadur Khatri has been appointed the chairman of Janakpur Cigarette Industry, Bhakta Bahadur Garanja the chairman of Udayapur Cement Factory, Bal Gopal Thapamagar the chairman of Hetauda Cement Industry, Bindu Timalsina the chairman of Industrial Sector Management Ltd and Saraswati Bogati the chairman of Small and Cottage Industry Development Committee. Bhola Shaha has been appointed the General Manager (GM) of Janakpur Cigarette Factory, Ramesh Kumar Aryal, GM, Hetauda Cement Industry, Giriraj Bhandari, GM, Industrial Sector Management Ltd and Shyam Giri, executive director, Small and Cottage Industry Development Committee.

Karma Sango Sherpa has been appointed member secretary of Lumbini Development Trust, Bishnu Prasad Dhakal, GM, Timber Corporation Of Nepal Ltd and Shiva Kumar Gurung, GM, Herbs Production and Processing Company.
