MJF calls off strike

BIRATNAGAR: The Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) has withdrawn its indefinite transport strike, scheduled to start from Thursday, following an agreement with the local administration. The strike was called after MJF cadre Bhagwan Yadav was killed in a clash. A meeting held between the local administration and a MJF team made an agreement and the strike was called off, said DSP Bidhya Nand Majhi. The administration has assured the MJF of booking the guilty, coordinating to provide necessary compensation and restoring peace and security in Morang. — RSS
