Kathmandu, November 11:

JHALARI: Fake Indian currency notes of Rs 500 denomination flooded different markets in Kanchanpur. The circulation of fake Indian currency notes began during the festive season from bordering Indian towns, according to locals traders.

Businessman Hikmat Deuba alleged that fake notes were commonly found in gambling centres. He suspected involvement of Indian bank staffers in the circulation of these fake notes.
