15 injured in clash, 3 detained

Hetaunda, November 14:

Fifteen persons were injured when youths clashed in the house of one Milan Bhandari in Hatiya Village Development Committee of Makwanpur district today. The police took three persons — Badri BK, Dipak Kumar BK and Raj Kumar BK of Hatiya-5 — for their involvement in the fight.

The youngsters were gambling in Bhandari’s house.

The fight ensued after three youths, who walked away follwing a dispute, brought around 12 weapon-wielding youths to the gambling venue.

Twenty-four-year-old Sagar Katuwal, who was critically injured in the clash, was rushed to the Bharatpur hospital from the Hetaunda hospital for further treatment, the police said.

Both the groups have lodged complaints with the police, said police inspector at the district police office Makawanpur, Ramnath Ghimire.
