Student abducted

Mahottari: An unidentified armed gang abducted a student from Bardibas on Thursday. Area Police Office identified the abductee as Ram Shankar Raya, a Grade X student from a local high school. The family and relatives of Raya have urged activists and mediapersons to effect his release. — HNS

Soldier dies

SANKHUWASABHA: A Nepal Army soldier deployed to Khandbari died of heart attack on Thursday. Subedar Raj Kumar Budhamagar, 38, a resident of Gulmi fell unconscious after partaking meal and was rushed to Khandbari hospital for treatment. He died on the way. — HNS

Mahottari: An unknown disease has claimed the life of one and rendered four persons unconscious in Mahottari district. Thirty-two-year-old Prema Mandal died while four persons are undergoing treatment at the local health post. — HNS
