Kathmandu, February 8:

Prem Lama, 30, allegedly raped a three-year-old girl at Bishnu Budhanilkantha on Sunday.

According to Women and Children’s Cell of Kathmandu District Police Office, Lama lured the child to his room with noodles when she was playing nearby.

The police yesterday arrested the alleged culprit following a complaint filed by the girl’s father, Jit Bahadur Tamang, on Sunday.

In another case, on Friday a 15-year-old girl filed a complaint at the cell alleging her father of forcing her to have physical relations with her. Though Makar Pandit was allegedly raping his daughter for the past three months, the girl filed a case only last Friday. Pandit is absconding.

On January 31, Bhunte Tamang, 22, and Dinesh Lama, 16, allegedly gang raped a 16-year-old girl at Simaltar, Jorpati-8.

The girl is taking refuge at Kids Shangrila Home at Jorpati. The duo, residents of Arubari, Jorpati, are still at large.
