Right activists’ call to end impunity

Speakers at a programme organised here today stressed on the need to end impunity to improve human rights situation in the country.

Stressing the need to end impunity, human rights activist Teknath Baral said that people would not feel the existence of law and order in the country if impunity was not brought to an end.

“The challenges for human rights activists are increasing with the increase in the practice of impunity,” acting regional director of National Human Rights Commission Achyut Acharya told an interaction on ‘Status of Human Rights and Role of Human Right Activists in the Present Context’ organised by the human rights body, INSEC.
