Hetauda, December 16:

Minister for Industries, Asta Laxmi Shakya, today urged the Maoist cadres to act honestly and responsibly.

She accused Maoist frontal wings of shutting down industries by instigating union strikes. She said the cadres of the main ruling party should not involve themselves in violence, killings and property-seizing. She added that the government had allocated the budget for resumption of operations in Hetauda Textile Mills and hoped that the Maoists, who have laid siege to the mill’s building, would vacate the premises.

Shakya, who came here to inspect industries in Hetauda Industrial Area, urged entrepreneurs not to be discouraged.
