Kathmandu: South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation University, which is being built in New Delhi, is all set to impart a world class quality education to the aspiring students, said Dr Sheel Kant Sharma, the secretary general of the regional body. Addressing an interaction organised here on Wednesday, Dr Sharma said the SAARC University would provide affordable world class education for the students of the region. The university plans to enroll 5,000 students from across the region by 2010. — HNS

Home Ministry notice

KATHMANDU: Home Ministry on Wednesday appealed to the people to hand over all the illegal arms and ammunition possessed by them without licence from the concerned District Administration Office, District Police Office or the nearest Area Police Office within two weeks. Issuing a notice, the Ministry warned the weapon owners that illegally possessedarms and ammunitions would be seized and legal action taken against them. — HNS
