Three robbery accused nabbed

Pokhara, December 17:

The police have nabbed three persons accused of committing robberies at several places in Pokhara and Lekhnath municipality.

The district police office Kaski made the names of the three culprits public at a press conference today. Kumar Gharti, 46, of Rolpa, 27-year-old Suresh Rokka and 27-year-old Bikram Magar of Rukum, who were living in a rented room in Pokhara, were nabbed along with a pistol from their room on December 14. A country-made pistol and five bullets were confiscated from them, police said.

Kaski Superintendent of Police Subas Chaudhary said a large number of policemen in civil dress were mobilised to check incidents of looting and theft in Pokhara.

At a press meet, it was also informed that the police had seized several motorcycles after several check points had been posted in several places to check the blue books of the vehicle and the driver’s licence. They were seized from Kaski and Dedhgaun of Nawalparasi. The police also urged the people who had lost their motorcycles to notify the police as

soon as possible with the following information of the lost motorcycles: chassis number, bluebook, and engine number.
