Rara Hill in final

KATHMANDU: Rato Bangala School and Rara Hill Memorial School entered the final of the CSSV Under-15 Girls’ Basketball Tournament. On Monday, Rara Hill defeated Lincoln School 22-16 riding on Bhumika Maharjan’s 10 points. Mosaic Shrestha and Akunne Daniels netted seven points each for Lincoln. In the other semi-final match, Shajun Thapa scored 18 points as Rato Bangala outplayed Wilson Academy 51-11. The final is slated for Tuesday. — HNS

Saraswoti win

KATHMANDU: Saraswoti Youth Club hammered United Youth Club 6-1 to register the second consecutive win in the Marytrs Memorial ‘B’ Division League here at the Dasharath Stadium on Monday. Saraswoti lead the Super League standings with six points ahead of United, who have three. Yogesh Gurung struck a hat-trick while Krishna Gopal Shrestha added two and Jivan Rai one goal. Ajay Kapali pulled back a consolation goal for United late into the second half. Brigade Boys Club will meet Bouddha Football Club on Tuesday. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Defending champions Campion Academy and Prime College set a championship date at the second CPS Cup Inter-college Boys Basketball on Monday. Both the teams have equal six points after winning their respective matches today. Anurag Jimba scored 14 points as Campion beat JVC 61-45 while Prime overcame Trinity International College 81-65 riding on 31 points from Sushil Gurung. The final is scheduled for Tuesday. — HNS
