Kathmandu, January 14:
The Nepali Congress today held ‘serious’ discussion on several issues including the recent remarks coming from Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on capturing the state power through revolt.
At a meeting held at the residence of party president Girija Prasad Koirala at Maharajgunj, the party leaders seriously discussed about the PM’s remarks on capturing the state power.
“We just briefed the party president on the PM’s remarks of ‘taking over the state power’ and held serious discussion on the situation of current politics,” said a party leader who attended the meeting. “Since it was an informal meeting we did not take any decision,” he added. The PM and chairman of the Unified CPN-Maoist had yesterday threatened that the people would stage ‘a great revolution and capture the state power’ if his government were toppled.
