A policeman was injured when tipsy locals thrashed him at Ghurpise Panchami Bazaar of Phaktep VDC in Panchthar district last night. Mohan Kumar Kurunwang, a policeman stationed at Phaktep Police Post, was injured when the locals thrashed him after he tried to stop them from disrupting peace in the area. Kurunwang is getting treatment at Panchthar District Hospital.
