People’s Party ousts chief

Kathmandu, January 27:
Nepal People’s Party (NPP) has expelled its chairman Hari Charan Sah and a few members from the party and annulled their general membership. According to a press release issued today, the party was compelled to expel the chairman as he was trying to take unnecessary advantage by misusing his position.
The NPP also expelled party vice-chairman Kabiraj Timilsina and treasurer Sabitri Sah, the daughter of chairman Sah, from their respective posts and annulled their general membership. The party has also named Ranjan Raj Shrivastav as new secretary of the party. Srivastav replaces Deepak Raj Pandey.
The release stated that the party was preparing for its fourth national convention scheduled to start from March 18 in Malangwa.
