Guv off to Malaysia
KATHMANDU: Governor Deependra Bahadur Chhetri has left for Malaysia to take part in 4th SEACEN Governors’ Conference and 28th meeting of SEACEN Board of Governors’. The SEACEN Centre has 16 countries as its members including Nepal. Trilochan Pangeni has accompanied the governor to the meeting where they will discuss the present global economic crisis. — HNS
New NBL leader
KATHMANDU: Narahari Dhakar has been appointed coordinator of Nepal Bank Limited’s management committee, according to Nepal Rastra Bank Act 2058. He has experience of 25 years in the banking and financial sector. He started his carrer from Agriculture Development Bank, said NBL. — HNS
Bonus shares listed
KATHMANDU: Altogether 10,20,000-unit bonus shares of National LIfe Insurance Ltd (NLIC) have been listed with Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse), said a press release of NLIC. — HNS
FNCCI poll KATHMANDU: Shankar Prasad Pandey — president of Pashmina Industry Association — has been unanimously elected vice-president of the commodity association of FNCCI. A meeting of the association also formed seven sub-committees also to find solutions to problems in seven different commodity sectors. FNCCI has 67 national level associations related to trade, industry and service sector as its members. — HNS
