Sarlahi, February 8:
Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha-Rajan has threatened to wage an armed struggle from the third week of February if the government did not stop arresting its cadres and framing them in fake cases.
Speaking at a press meet organised in Sarlahi district headquarters Malangawa today, Rajib Jha, coordinator of Peace Talks Team formed by the JTMM-R, said, “We decided to sit on the negotiating table by declaring truce because we are in favour of peace in the country. But the government has continued to arrest our cadres.”
He threatened that the party would raise arms if the government did not refrain from arresting its activists. JTMM-R had taken up arms to eventually establish peace and ensure progress of the Nepali people, he said. “Our struggle is not against any caste, language, religion or lingual group.” Jha also demanded action against those who torched his party’s van.
