MAHOTTARI: Police arrested six people on Friday who were accused of robbing passengers of a bus at Piprachowk. Police personnel deployed from District Police Office Janakpur, arrested Jitendra Paswan, Jaya Prakash Mandal, Amit Thakur,Sanjeev Das and Jalani Safi of Janakpur Municipality-5 and Ramprakash Sharma of Fulgau-5, Dhanusha. The police also confiscated a pickup truck from the robbers.

The group had used the same vehicle to rob the passengers last Tuesday. According to SP Laxmi Gautam, the group had robbed the passengers of Rs 50,000. — HNS
