Miteri Hospital in Madhyapur Thimi today started a weeklong free health camp at Lokanthali.

Dr Birendra Jhapali, chairman of Miteri Hospital, said the locals of Thimi were not very conscious of their health, necessitating the camp.

“With the aim of providing services to inaccessible places, we are dedicated to serve people with quality services at reasonable cost. It is our plan to turn into a community hospital in future,” he added.

“We want to be a non-profit private hospital providing services at minimum cost. Free health camp is an example of what we aim,” he said.

More than 100 people from Madhyapur Thimi and its neighbouring areas benefited from the free check-up today. The hospital is planning to launch mobile hospital services and tele-medicine throughout the country.
