KATHMANDU: The Mahakavi Devkota Centennial Celebration Committee is going to organize a Mahakavi Devkota Centenary Poetry Festival. The committee said top ten poets will be awarded with Mahakavi Devkota Centennial Poetry Award of Rs 10,000 cash and copper plaque and fifty selected poems in the competition will be printed in Devkota Satabdi Kabya, an anthology of poems. Similarly, Mahakavi Devkota Centennial Painting Festival featuring the facial painting of the poet laureate will also be organized. Selected 10 painters will be awarded with Rs 10,000 and copper plaque and 50 selected paintings will be printed in Devkota Satabdi Chitra, a collection of paintings. Likewise, Mahakavi Devkota Essay competition will be organized among the students of master''s level and top three essayists will be awarded with Rs 10,000 cash and copper plaque, the organizing committee said.
