2 held with marijuana

BARA: Police have arrested two persons in possession of marijuana on Monday. The police arrested Bikash Tamang and Ratna Tamang of Ratanpuri VDC-2 of Bara district. They were carrying 4.01 kg while they were heading towards Chandranigahpur of Rautahat district, the police said. — HNS

Trader shot

BARA: An unidentified gang shot dead a local trader Dhundiraj Poudel at Simara of Bara district on Monday. According to an eyewitness, two youth riding on the motorbike shot 55-year-old Poudel at about 6.45 in the morning. Poudel died on the way to a hospital in Birgunj, it is learnt. — HNS

19 exam centres

PUTALIBAZAR: The District Education Office Syangja has arranged 19 examination centres for the SLC examination beginning from March 27. Some 4,000 students from 103 schools in Syangja are sitting for the exams. — RSS
