Gangster nabbed Kathmandu: Notorious gangster Raju Gorkhali, who has been on the most wanted list of Nepal Police, was arrested on Sunday evening from Hadigaon. Gorkhali was on the run after murdering his business rival Rakesh Limbu, one of the co-owners of Babylon Discotheque in Sundhara, on January, 2003. Gorkhali had hacked Limbu to death in Royal Discotheque, a club owned by Gorkhali in Durbarmarg. Chief of Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, SP Nawa Raj Silwal confirmed Gorkhali's arrest. — HNS
Theft in capital KATHMANDU: Thieves broke into Ram Prasad Shrestha’s rented room on Saturday and decamped with property worth Rs 110,000. The thieves had made away with some cash and jewellery. Police said the thieves had entered the room through a window. — HNS Bodies found BHAKTAPUR: Body of Dipesh Oli, 26, a permanent resident of Ransi village development committee-1of Rolpa, was found floating in a pool in Bhaktapur on Friday night. He was an employee at Maitri Hanuman brick factory. Another body of an unidentified two-year-old girl was found at Thimi-8 in Bhaktapur at 11 am on Saturday. — HNS
Property gutted KATHMANDU: Yokendra Bahadur Karki, a resident of Baluwatar, lost property worth Rs 185,000 when his apartment caught fire around 8 am on Saturday. The fire started after a cooking gas cylinder exploded in his kitchen on the third floor. — HNS
Robbers nabbed KATHMANDU: Police foiled a robbery bid and arrested four persons before they could strike. Ram Bhakhati, Raj Kiran Nepali, Prabesh Gurung and Jhalak Baniya were arrested from Balaju, near Astanarayan Cinema hall, with sharp-edged weapons while they were plotting a robbery. They were arrested by the police at 12:30 pm on Saturday. — HNS
One dead KATHMANDU: An unidentified man in his 60s, died while being rushed to Bir Hospital on Saturday. He was rushed to the hospital as he was found unconscious at Balaju bus park, Kathmnadu. — HNS
