KATHMANDU: United Telecom Ltd (UTL) has started its services in Nepalgunj of Banke district from this week. According to a UTL press statement, services in the city started with CDMA U-SIM cards mobile services. The service is in Nepalgunj's adjoining VDCs also. U-SIM cards are available with roaming facility which can be used in CDMA handsets. UTL has already expanded its network to many other places like Birgunj, Hetauda, Simra, Banepa, Bharatpur, Pokhara, Butwal, Bhairahawa, Biratnagar, Dharan, Itahari and Damak aside from Kathmandu valley. Considering the demand of users for its internet service and U-SIMs, UTL will expand its network and has a plan to cover an additional fifty cities within a couple of months.
