Boy found dead MADHYAPUR THIMI: A six-year-old boy was found dead on Monday floating in a pond which had been dug up by the sand miners in Madhyapur Thimi, Lokanthali. The deceased has been identified as Roshan Karki, a squatter living on a bank of Manohara River. According to family sources, he had been missing since Sunday after he returned from school. Kiran Bajracharya, DSP at Metropolitan Police Range-Thimi, said the boy had drowned while he was swimming. The victim's family and neighbours have not let the police take the body for post mortem. They are demanding sufficient compensation, and an assurance to fill up such ditches dug by the sand miners. Another boy had died in a similar accident along the Manohara River a month ago. — HNS
