Four held with arms JANAKPURDHAM: Police detained four persons from Pidari Chowk of Janakpur on Tuesday night. The detainee have been identified as Umesh Yadav of Sapahi Dhanusha, Sailendra Yadav of Jamunia, Indresh Yadav of Laxmipur and Ram Kisun Yadav of Tarapati Sirsiya. The police found a Belgium-made pistol during a security check when the four were heading to Laxmania Bazaar. They have been kept in the custody of the District Police Office Dhanusha for further investigation.— HNS

Jeep mishap toll at 4 DIPAYAL: Dal Bahadur Khadka of Khatiwoda VDC and Dipak Batala of Kathamadau VDC died on Wednesday when they were being taken to Nepalgunj from Khujung Hospital, Rajapur for treatment. They were injured when a jeep used on a marriage procession met with an accident on Tuesday at Chisapani of Silgadhi-6. Two persons were killed and 25 others injured in the accident. — HNS

Milk causes death KATHMANDU: Man Bahadur Tamang, was killed after he drank milk in Bhojpure Bantawa Restaurant situated at Mitranagar of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-29 on Wednesday. Tamang had fallen unconscious at around 8 pm after drinking milk in the restaurant run by Mani Bantawa. Investigation into the incident is underway, the police said. — HNS
