BIRGUNJ: Ten police personnel, including an inspector, were injured when locals clashed with a patrol team that seized marijuana stored in a house in Jayamangalapur of Parsa district last night. A villager was also injured in the incident. The police team deployed from Narayani Zonal Police Office in Birgunj had seized twenty quintals of marijuana from the house. The police fired tear gas shells and twenty rounds of bullet in the air when the villagers intervened in the police action. All the villagers, including women and children, teamed up to attack the police team, SSP Tapendra Dhoj Hamal said. Additional forces from Area Police Office Pokhariya and Langadi had reached the site.
