Junior League semis today:

KATHMANDU: Group A toppers Manang Marsyangdi Club will take on Group B runners-up New Road Team, and Group B leaders Friends Club will play against Group A runners-up Jawalakhel Youth Club in the semi-finals of the Nepal Bank Junior (Under-14) League Football Tournament at ANFA Complex on Thursday. The 12-team tournament has been organised by All Nepal Football Association under the sponsorship of Nepal Bank Ltd. The final is slated for Saturday. — HNS

Committee formed:

KATHMANDU: A 10-member organising committee under the presidentship of Nepal Kyokushin Karate Association president Raja Binod Singh has been formed for the seventh National Men’s and the sixth National Women’s Full Contact Karate Championship, to be held in Dharan from April 8-9. While Prakash Deshar is the convenor, Prem Nath Shrestha, Chandra Shyam Dangol, Rabindra Maharjan, Navaraj Sedhai, Hira Kaji Deshar, Prem Lama, Surya Bahadur Lama and Ram Lama are the members. Meanwhile, the organising committee also formed four sub-committees. — HNS

BHAKTAPUR: Bhaktapur English Secondary School felicitated its students Maiya Dhakal, Deepa Waiju, Arpana Rai, Sushmita Khanal, Rajendra Shrestha, Gyan Chandra Chakradhar, Ram Bahadur Chhetri, Bishnu Keshari Kashula and Sunil Twayana along with coach Arun Chitrakar for finishing first at the Regional and National Athletics Meet, organised on the occasion of Education Day.
