Plea to MJF honchos KATHMANDU: Heads of some district chapters of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum urged the leaders of the two party factions --Upendra Yadav led faction and Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar led faction-- to end the intra-party conflict and save the party from a split. The meeting of the district heads was held under the co-ordination of central committee member Tilak Rawal. Issuing a joint press statement, heads of Kavre, Dolakha, Mugu, Sindhupalchowk, Achham and Dailekh district chapters urged both the leaders, Yadav and Gachhadar, to take immediate measures to unite the party ending its intra-party conflict. 'The establishment should withdraw its decision to expel the leaders,' stated the release. — HNS

Chickens culled BARA: Six hundred illegally imported chickens were culled on the premises of District Veterinary Office Bara on Monday. The chickens were seized from Rajdevi Chowk of Kalaiya district and were handed to the DVO on Monday morning, according to the police. —HNS
