Karodpati account KATHMANDU: NCC Bank Ltd has launched ‘NCC Banau Karodpati Bachat Khata’ targeting a section of people who aim to be millionaires within five to 20 years. According to a press release, people can deposit money in two different schemes — certain amount in entry or fixed amount on monthly basis — and they can get Rs one to 10 million after the fixed term expires. The account holder can get interest on deposit on a quarterly basis. —HNS

Sprite launches Din KATHMANDU: Sprite launched a music video titled ‘Din’ featuring the rock band ‘Anuprastha´ — winner of the ‘Sprite Band Challenge - Freedom to Rock” — a first-of-its-kind initiative in Nepal. The music video chronicles Anuprastha’s journey from the coming together of the rock band to rising to fame after winning the Sprite Band Challenge. The judges of the contest were eminent personalities of the music fraternity — Robin Tamang (from Robin and The New Revolution), Manoj KC (1974 AD) and Dev Rana (renowned drummer). — HNS

Appeal to NRB KATHMANDU: The Joint Committee on Solving National Financial Problem has urged Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) to stop debt recovery from small debtors who have suffered from natural calamities and conflict. Committee chairman Bhanu Kandel requested NRB governor Dipendra Bahadur Kshetry to halt the auction of their collateral also. — HNS
