Kathmandu, March 16:
On the second day of the re-registration for post-paid mobile phones, more than 10,000 users turned up with their forms at 10 different branches of Nepal Telecom (NT) in the Valley today.
According to NT New Services Directorate, around 10,000 customers possessing phone numbers between 98501-40001 to 98510-59000 submitted their forms.
The officials at the Directorate informed that the verification of personal details mentioned in the forms has started and is expected to complete within a few days. But a lengthy paperwork and fingerprint of the concerned user is sure to bother thousands of mobile phone customers. “Despite all the trouble, uncertainty over the early resumption of services prevails,” said a user at the NT’s Bhadrakali branch.
“From the security point of view, the trouble seems to be valid but there should be uniformity in the process of receiving forms,” complained another customer who queued up for more than four hours but was asked to come on Saturday. He also complained about the harassment caused, especially to corporate customers, by the NT employees.
