Two youths’ bodies handed over to kin

GORKHA: Two of the seven bodies of the youths, who were killed in Naar, Manang, few weeks ago, was handed over to their relatives today. The bodies of Gyan Bahadur Gurung and Sobar Gurung, which were airlifted from Naar have been handed over to Pramila Gurung and Kansing Gurung respectively, police said. The post-mortem was carried out at Chame in Manang. Gyan Bahadur Gurung, 33, his brother Bir Bahadur, 18, Kanchha Gurung, 27, Kami Gurung, 18, Sobar Gurung, 22, Dhruba Gurung, 18 and Aitaram Gurung, 18, of Kerauji, Gorkha were allegedly killed by the locals few weeks ago. Meanwhile, the Gorkha District Development Committee has decided to provide compensation to the victims’ kin. “The District Development Committee has decided to provide Rs 25,000 each to the family of the victims,” said Raj Kumar Shrestha, Local Development Officer .
