Police have launched a manhunt to nab one Dhruba Adhikari, 45, who has been charged with cheating his landlord Pravin Adhikari of over Rs 400,000. Pravin is a resident of Gongabu, Kathmandu. The Kathmandu District Police Office said Prabin, who had rented a room to Dhruba, today filed a complaint against Dhurba alleging him of cheating Rs 460,000 from him.

“Dhruba called me at Dhumbarai yesterday and asked for some money to buy a plot of land there,” Prabin said adding, “He told me that he had a hefty sum of US Dollar bills in his room which he was not able to exchange in the market and said he would return the money soon but I later came to know that he did not have any money, and Dhruba has not returned since then.”
