KOICA veep to attend GIDC opening

KATHMANDU: Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) vice-president Chang See-jeong will be visiting Nepal from July 15-16. According to a press statement, Chang will attend the inaugural ceremony of the Government Integrated Data Centre (GIDC) in Singha Durbar. The ceremony will be held on July 16 in the presence of president Dr Ram Baran Yadav and Korea’s ambassador to Nepal, Hong Sungmog. KOICA has expanded the budget to a total of US$ 3.5 million (Rs 235 million) for the establishment of GIDC. This project is designed to contribute to lay the foundation for e-governance in Nepal. During his visist, Chang is also scheduled to meet Finance Minister Surendra Pandey.
