Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, ESN appreciated the decision to double the funding for public welfare advertisement, to felicitate and support senior journalists, to provide relief for mediapersons victimised or killed during the insurgency. Press accreditation card distribution, evaluation of press and policy to decentralise public welfare advertisement are commendable, the Society maintained. "Such policies would help avoid the misuse of sources, but for that we need a credible mechanism," it said. "Such decisions help boost the morale of journalists and make the media more credible." — HNS Crash dead identified HETAUDA: Two of the four Nepalis, who were killed in the recent helicopter crash in Afghanistan, have been identified.
