DARCHULA: A landslide in Khar VDC of Darchula claimed the lives of two sisters from the same family on Sunday night following heavy rainfall.

According to the District Police Office (DPO), Darchula the deceased have been identified as Harina Dhami, 14, and her sister Nirmala Dhami, 12. Dhami's father Gagan Singh and mother Ujeli are undergoing treatment in the local hospital as they were severely injured in the landslide, added the police. DPO, Darchula has sent a rescue team comprising police personnel to the spot.
