KATHMANDU: Newly appointed chief secretary Madhav Prasad Ghimire assumed charge during a programme at the Office of the Prime Minister and council of ministers on Monday. The cabinet meeting on Friday had appointed Ghimire as the chief secretary. Meanwhile, staffers of the PM’s office bade farewell to the outgoing chief secretary Bhoj Raj Ghimire. Ghimire instructed the secretaries to perform their tasks effectively. While giving instructions to the secretaries, Udaya Raj Sharma, Secretary at the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation, collapsed and was rushed to hospital.
