KATHMANDU: A 10-day free health and operation camp for women organised by Helping Hands (HH), a Kathmandu-based NGO, began on Thursday in Khandbari, states a press release issued on Friday. The medical team is led by Dr Pramila Pradhan from Nepal and Dr Susan from the United States. According to Helping Hand chairman Narayan Shrestha, the camp is expected to benefit 1,200 patients, with 50 women expected to be operated upon.
On the first day, doctors conducted a caesarean delivery for a womon who had been in labour for four days. — HNS
