DAMAK: Leaders of political leaders, people from different fields and commoners have jointly declared Damak a transport strike-free area. A committee will discourage the growing culture of organising chhakajams after road accident deaths. Led by chairman of Damak Chamber of Commerce Prakash Prasai, the committee has Ganga Situala, police inspector Nabin Karki, Ram Pokharel, Subhash Chandra Bhattarai and Gopal Thapa as members. Local political leaders are the advisors.
