Dulal wins Kathmandu Adventure Rally

Kathmandu: Suresh Kumar Dulal
won the second Kathmandu Adventure Rally organised by Nepal Cycling Club and promoted by Nepal Tourism Board here today. The top Nepali cyclist finished the 1.5-km distance in four minutes and 59 seconds after the 10-km Special Stage to win the championship. Ajay Chhetri (5.18) and Raju Maharjan (6.43) came second and third respectively. The winners recieved Rs 4,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 1,000 respectively. Aki Kinoshita of Japan (11.54) won the women’s section title. In a 4-km wheel chair race, Man Bahadur Lepcha, Dhundi Raj Chalise and Netra Prasad Koirala claimed top three spots. In all, 31 cyclists — including five women, three foreigners and five disabled athletes — took part in the competition. — HNS
