DHARAN: Continuous rain of the past few days has swept away 36 huts of the squatters, putting 2,000 families in 19 settlements of the landless under the flood threat. The flood in Dharan’s Seuti, Sardu and Khaharekhola streams has swept the houses of Bal Kumari Shahi, Roshan Khatiwada and Nir Bahadur Karki of Dharan 4, including those of Raj Kumar Tamang, Dipen Subba, Kamal Baraili and Bunu BK in Dharan 16, according to eastern regional secretary of Nepal Settlement Conservation Society Kumar Karki.
