BEIJING: A leading Chinese human rights lawyer was released from detention on Sunday, but could face trial over tax evasion allegedly committed by the legal organisation he co-founded. Xu Zhiyong was allowed to leave a detention centre on Sunday, more than three weeks after the police picked him up from his home.
