Rs 51,000 aid for Sri Lanka
KATHMAND: NCC Bank Ltd has donated Rs 51,000 to tsunami-hit Sri Lanka. Laxmi Bahadur Shrestha, chairman of the bank on Tuesday handed over the amount to Grace A Asirwatham, ambassador of Sri Lanka to Nepal. The devastating tsunami on December 26 has killed more than 30,000 people in Sri Lanka and left nearly a

Appeal to call off bandh
KATHMANDU: Rukum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has appealed to the Maoists to call off indefinite bandh in the district headquarters Musikot and bordering Salyan district. The district chamber has appealed government and human rights activists to take initiative in resolving the problem as the indefinite strike in the district could cause a huge damage to the business sector. — RSS
