Several politicians arrested at different times for staging pro-democracy rallies at different parts of the nation were released yesterday.

In Dipayal, five local politicians were released yesterday evening.

Those who were released are Nepal Students’ Union central member Ram Bahadur Rokaya, Doti Nepali Congress secretary Ram Prasad Upadhaya among others.

Local administration had handed them over three months detention order under the Peace and Security Act by the local administration.

Four politicians of were released in Dang yesterday.

The four in a press statement issued today have urged the local administration to immediately release local journalist Sharad Adhikari.

Likewise, at least 11 pro-democracy rallist politicians were released from Rajbiraj, headquarters of Saptari district yesterday.
