KATHMANDU: Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) welcomed the revised Air Service Agreement (ASA) and technical accord between Nepal and India. “Increased capacity and opening of Gorakhpur, Deharadun and Bagdogra as new points for Nepal are laudable,” said HAN adding that the MoU for opening new points such as Goa, Amritsar, Thiruvanthapuram, Vishakhapatanam and Cochin in addition to earlier limited seven destinations in India is also praiseworthy. It hailed the installation of VSAT at TIA and fifth freedom traffic rights to Nepal. HAN strongly believes the new understanding will enhance Nepal’s tourism sector and also be effective in meeting the target of bringing in a million tourists in 2011.
