Kathmandu : The Nepali New Year eve is just round the corner and Jomson Mountain Resort at Jomson is coming up with a big bang to officially end BS 2061 in unique style. Jomsom Mt Resort is organising ‘Jomson Jamming’ — a one-of-its-kind event — where the most popular folk rock band in the country 1974 AD will perform live at a height of 8,800 ft on April 13. To accompany 1974 AD, one of the most popular DJs from Kathmandu SickFreak will take charge to rock the hilly region.
The event is managed by PartyNepal.com. Jomsom Mountain Resort is located at a High Himalayan settlement of Thakali speaking people. At 8,800 ft the resort is among the few places in Nepal where giant Himalayan peaks can be admired safely and yet at close proximity. This deluxe resort is the only “green resort” in Nepal. About 500 feet below the resort is the Kali Gandaki river, which flows downstream to form the deepest gorge in the world. The most breathtaking sight of all is right in front of the resort. Every room offers unparalleled view of the majestic Nilgiri mountain.
For those who want to wind up the year in style, this event could prove to be one not to be missed. Ticket is priced at Rs 4999.00 for Nepalis, Indian Rs 4999.00 for Indians and $US 199.00 for foreigners per person, which includes Pokhara-Jomson-Pokhara air fare and stay at Jomson Mountain Resort on twin share, two buffet breakfast, two dinner, complimentary welcome drink and walking tour of Marpha village.
