NDHRC elects committee KATHMANDU: Nepal Disabled Human Rights Centre (NDHRC) concluded its 9th general assembly and 3rd general convention in the capital today, electing a seven-member working committee headed by Jagadish Prasad Adhikari. The committee includes vice president Tarabadan Sedai, general secretary Maheshwor Ghimire, secretary Janaki Shrestha, treasurer Laxmi Maharjan and members Dipendra Shakya and Sushila Dhakal, said a press statement issued by NDHRC. While, outgoing president and founding member Sudarshan Subedi has been appointed as a senior advisor of the committee. — HNS One stoned to death LALITPUR: Arun Maharjan, 33, a resident of Imadol, Lalitpur today died of injuries. He was stoned by a four-member, unidentified group, at around 11 pm on Monday, in Imadol area. Maharjan succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital, today. Lalitpur police have taken into custody Delan Maharjan, 30, and other nine people of their alleged involvement in the murder. — HNS
