TANAHU: Policemen including a DSP were injured when protestors pelted stones at the police team at Khairenitar, last night. The police had arrived there to reopen the Damauli-Kotre section of the Prithivi highway, that had been blocked by local youths. They were demanding action against the youths of Dulegaonda who had attacked them, some days back. An Inspector and two Constables were among the others injured. “Locals pelted stones when we fired tear gas shells at them,” Khadka said. A police van was also damaged in the clash. Police charged batons on them and one Sunil Gurung is in the net. The highway has reopened, the police informed.
