KATHMANDU: Supreme Federation of Nepal National Transport Entrepreneurs (SFNNTE) today gheraoed the Department of Transport Management demanding that the decision to phase out LPG gas-run tempos be rolled back. Ram Kumar Blon, coordinator, ad-hoc struggle committee, said their second phase of protest programmes would be declared soon. The stir prevented officials from entering the office from 9 am to 5 pm. Police had stopped the protesters from organising a chhakajam in Koteshwor. There was heavy deployment of security personnel on the office premises. The transport entrepreneurs’ body had submitted a memorandum to the Ministry of Labour and Transport Management on September 22.
